I am a late bloomer.
Before I met my husband, I was single for 15 years; determined to wait on the Lord.
As I left my 20’s behind, without a single date, I began to lose faith.
I watched all of my friends attend college, begin their careers, marry, and have babies. Now, a couple of my friends are even Grandparents. Good grief…
I began to reluctantly accept that marriage and children may not be God’s plan for me, and that I may never find the opportunity, or funds to start college, and begin a career.
But when I least expected it, the Lord started raining blessings on me, and my life began to bloom.
I became the Grand Prize Winner of a luxury minivan from a Chrysler promotional sweepstakes.
I sold it, and bought my first home; a foreclosed fixer-upper. Little did I know that this was only the beginning of blessings the Lord had in store for me. Major repairs were needed on my new house, which led me to meet Aaron. We began home-repair projects together. We began dating. We fell in love.
We married on July 2, 2011.
The blessings continued to pour down on me…
I became pregnant 3 months after our wedding.
On our First Year Wedding Anniversary I went into labor.
Our baby girl, Faith, was born July 3rd 2012 ♥
God is amazing. He gave me a prize minivan, which gave me my new home, which gave me my new husband, which gave us our new baby, which led me to create this blog; The Late Stork.
I am looking forward to getting to know new “older moms” and late bloomers through The Late Stork, and hope we can share our experiences and learn from each other.
I am now embarking on a brand new adventure as a new wife, new mommy … and finally as a new college student.
This is my life in my mid-30’s. Can I compete with all of those younger women? Watch me :)
